À la rentrée scolaire de septembre, une école alternative respectant les valeurs de la pédagogie Montessori va ouvrir ses portes à Calvisson. Pour le moment, la direction compte une dizaine d'inscriptions sur les 22 places disponibles.

"C'est une pédagogie bienveillante qui s'adapte au rythme, au besoin et aux envies de l'enfant. Par exemple, s'il développe une passion pour les mathématiques, on va le faire évoluer dans ce sens", définit Morgane Salomone, directrice de "Cap School Montessori", pour expliquer le concept de la pédagogie Montessori. Après Bouillargues et Uzès, c'est désormais une troisième école de ce type qui ouvrira ses portes le 1er septembre 2020 dans le Gard, sur le territoire de la Vaunage. Précisément à Calvisson, rue du Levant.

Pour l'instant, après trois semaines, une dizaine d'enfants est inscrite pour la rentrée prochaine. L'accueil sera limité à 22 élèves répartis en deux classes de 11. D'un côté les enfants âgés de 3 à 6 ans et de l'autre ceux de 6 à 8 ans. Du moins pour la première année puisque l'établissement compte accueillir par la suite des enfants âgés jusqu'à 12 ans. Dans cette école alternative internationale, il n'y a pas de maternelle et de primaire comme dans le système éducatif classique mais des enfants regroupés par tranche d'âge.

5 000€ l'année

Autre particularité, il s'agit d'un enseignement bilingue avec, dans chaque classe, un duo d'éducateurs composé d'un francophone et d'un anglophone. Pour que l'immersion soit totale, l'enseignant anglophone communique constamment dans la langue de Shakespeare avec les enfants et les parents. L'école est donc ouverte aux enfants de langue française, sensibilisés à l'anglais ou non, ainsi qu'aux enfants de langue anglaise (même ne parlant pas du tout français).

"Cap School Montessori" est un établissement privé laïque et hors contrat, c'est-à-dire déclaré et contrôlé par l'Éducation Nationale mais ne recevant aucune subvention. Même si cet autre mode d'enseignement reste encore peu connu, certains parents n'hésitent pas à franchir le pas et investir sur l'éducation de leur progéniture en finançant près de 5 000€ l'année. Une école qui accorde également beaucoup d'importance à l'environnement et au rapport des enfants avec la nature. Ainsi pour la restauration, les repas seront soigneusement préparés par un traiteur bio.

In September, an alternative school respecting the values of Montessori pedagogy will open its doors in Calvisson. For the moment, the management has about ten registrations out of the 22 places available.

"It is a benevolent pedagogy that adapts to the rhythm, need and desires of the child. For example, if he develops a passion for mathematics, we will make it evolve in this direction", defines Morgane Salomone, director of "Cap School Montessori", to explain the concept of Montessori pedagogy. After Bouillargues and Uzès it is now a third school of this type that will open its doors on 1 September 2020 in the Gard region, in the Vaunage region. Precisely in Calvisson, rue du Levant.

For the moment, after three weeks, a dozen children are registered for the next school year. The reception will be limited to 22 students divided into two classes of 11. On the one hand children aged 3 to 6 years and on the other hand those 6 to 8 years. At least for the first year since the establishment intends to accommodate children up to 12 years. In this international alternative school, there is no nursery and primary school as in the classical education system but children grouped by age group.

Another peculiarity is that it is a bilingual education with, in each class, a duo of educators composed of a francophone and an anglophone.To ensure total immersion, the English-speaking teacher constantly communicates in the language of Shakespeare with children and parents. The school is therefore open to French-speaking children, who are aware of English or not, as well as English-speaking children (even if they do not speak French at all).

"Cap School Montessori" is a private secular and non-contractual institution, that is to say, declared and controlled by the National Education but receiving no grant. Even if this other mode of education remains little known, some parents do not hesitate to take the step and invest in the education of their offspring by financing nearly €5,000 a year. A school that also places a great deal of importance on the environment and children's relationship with nature. So for the catering, the meals will be carefully prepared by an organic caterer.
