Land Art

Land Art is a major movement in contemporary art. Walter De Maria, the oldest artist to have evoked the idea of Land Art. But the one who consolidated this idea is Heizer. He left his mark with his many sculptures in the American West Desert.

Practicing Land Art is a privileged moment of contact with nature but also with oneself. It is about creating without finality and without constraint, truly "creating to create". During a Land Art workshop one does not think of any purpose, a purpose, such as an exhibition for example.
